"Land of Doom": The Last Days of Aleppo's Siege at Berlinale Intenational Film Festival

The World Premiere of "Land of Doom” will be at the 68th Berlin International Film Festival-Forum Expanded

"Bidayyat" in collaboration with "Rosl" is pleased to announce the selection of their latest film “Land of Doom” in the 68th Berlin International Film Festival-Forum Expanded, taking place between 15th and 25th of February, 2018. This screening will be the World Premiere of “Land of Doom” The festival has released the official selections on its website, today. “Land of Doom”, directed by Milad Amin and Ghaith Berem and featuring the last days of Aleppo’s Seige, is produced at the beginning of 2018. The film depicts the last days of Eastern Aleppo’s siege and before its fall, when Milad, residing in Beirut, follows up with his friend Ghaith, the besieged civilian activist and photographer, on people’s situations and sufferings while waiting for their fate among the fighting parties. The film is an intimate and personal recording of civilians’ sufferings during this time of siege, hunger, and war, and a recording of the relationship that brought activists together during the civil movements, and of the geographic distances that separated them because of violence, bombing and killing.
