The Aan Korb BBC Arabic Film and Documentary Festival has selected three short films "A farewell to Damascus" by Azza Alhamwi, "Wound" by Wael Kadlo and "Dr Qasem" by Amal Salloum to be shown as part of the festival on Syrian stories.

Bidayyat is thrillled that Amal Salloum is a recipient of BBC Arabic’s first Young Journalist Award for her film "Dr Qasim"

And Wael Kadlo is a recipeint of Best Shot film prize for his film "Wound"
