Arabisches Film Festival Screens 9 Films Produced or Co-Produced By Bidayyat

Bidayyat is now participating in Arabisches Film Festival with 2 feature documentaries, 1 short documentary, and 5 films from "Syrian Stories"

 

 Taking place from 6th to 14th October, the  ARAB FILM FESTIVAL in Tübingen (Germany) is screening four films produced by "Bidayyat", in addition to 5 films from “Syrian Stories” project organized by Bidayyat, Scottish Documentary Institute, and the British Council.


Bidayyat is participating with two feature documentaries: "Taste of Cement" by Ziad Kalthoum, and "194. Us, children of the camp", by Samer Salameh, and "Obscure" by Soudade Kaadan (it got Bidayyat's 2016 grant), and one short film which is “To climb a Tree”, by Rafia Salameh.

The 5 films from “Syrian Stories” are: "Suspended Lives", "The Wait", "The Dream", "Labyrinth", "Homeland".


The ARAB FILM FESTIVAL is an intercultural platform for diversity and tolerance and one of the largest festivals of Arab cinema on focus outside the Arab world. The program includes an extensive film program, the best new Arab feature films and documentaries, as well as short films. The festival screens over 80 films, with a competition section (Audience Award), Panorama of Arab film, Retrospective and Special Screenings.
